Massapequa Park NY Yellow Pages

Massapequa Park is a village in the town of Oyster Bay on the South Shore of Long Island on the Bar Harbor and the Great South Bay. The village received its name for the American Indians that called this area home before German settlers moved here from Brooklyn. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the Long Island Rail Road helped the community grow. The village became incorporated in 1931.

Massapequa School District is home to six elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools. The community has a wide array of cafes, fine dining and shopping center. The main business district is home on Park Boulevard and magnificent parks right on the water including Colleran Park, Brady Park at Lake Shore Drive, and Mansfield Park offering athletic fields, playground, tennis courts, and picnic areas. The most popular place to visit is the Massapequa State Park Preserve offering natural habitats for plants and animals as well as the longest hiking trail in the county.
